Born in N.C., about 1822, Tempy Morgan Mashburn was the wife of Drury Mashburn; the marriage bond date was Jan 10, 1842, Rutherford Co., N.C.

Tempy Morgan Mashburn & her husband, Drury, would have at least six children.

Daughter: Nancy Mashburn White (b. 1849)

The 1860 census below shows that Tempa, age 38, is head of household. She is a widow, as her husband, Drury, has passed away.

Thier last child born was "Betty", born August 15, 1854. I now wonder if Drury got to see his last born child before his passing. Betty's real name was Tempy Elizabeth Mashburn. "Betty" was to later marry John A. Hensley.

Tempy Morgan Mashburn died April 20, 1878, at the age of only about 55. So she and her husband, Drury, both died at a fairly young age.
