Charles H. Thom, 63, a 37 year resident of Rockford, died at 4:10 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony Hospital after a brief illness.
He was employed as an inspector at Mechanics Universal Joint Division of Borg-Warner Corp.
Survivors include his widow Berniece, three sons, Meredith, York, Neb., Richard, Janesville, Wis., and Victor, attending Harding College, Searcy, Ark., one stepdaughter, Mrs. Patricia Lopez, Rockford, eight grandchildren, two brothers, Elza and Truman, both of Rockford and four sisters, Mrs. Dora Austin, Deleplain, Ark., Mrs. Mary Buckley, Reyno, Ark, and Mrs. Grace Nyswonger, both of Corning, Ark.
