Richard was the son of Ephraim Collins Sr and Esther Shortridge.

On Jan 6, 1737 in Salisbury, MA he married Ann Fowler, daughter of Jacob Fowler and Mary Jones.

Their children were Miriam, Mary, Jacob, Moses, Benjamin, Richard, Alice, Anna, Moses, Reuben, and Alice.

All the children were born in South Hampton, except Miriam & Mary who were born in Salisbury, MA. Miriam, Mary, Jacob, and Moses were all baptized on Dec 30, 1744 in South Hampton, NH. Moses had just been born Nov 5, 1744 and they apparently decided to catch up on the baptisms.

His wife Ann's death date can't be found, but she would have been buried here with her husband. Some believe she died about 1777, but no one has shown proof of that. All we know for sure is that she died some time after her 2nd daughter named Alice was born in 1760. She was only 43 at the time so there could have been even more children after Alice, although no records have been found showing that yet.

Note:
Their first child, Miriam, was listed as born Mar 3, 1736-37 in the Salisbury, MA records. Considering her parents marriage date it is more likely she was born Mar 3, 1738.
