Jean R. Thomas passed away July 14, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born in Holmes County to the late Frank and Avis Stumbaugh. Jean graduated from Loudonville High School in 1942. She owned several restaurants in the Loudonville area. Upon moving to Mansfield, she worked for Earl Davis Chevrolet where she met and later married Paul B. Thomas Jr., whom she was married to for over 50 years. She sold real estate for Aaron Davis Realty until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling. Jean was a very gracious lady and had numerous friends and an active social life. She loved to dance and was a member at the Pandora Dance Club. She always enjoyed entertaining friends and family members, and had a great sense of humor. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mansfield.

She is survived by her children, Joe Pittinger, Paula McNeely of Ashland, Jim (Dianne) Pittinger of Mifflin, Jon (Juanita) Kline of Mansfield; granddaughters, Mindy (Marty) Hitchcock of Indiana, Karla (Thomas) Ketser of Kansas, Teresa (Brandon) Tipton of Mansfield, Melissa Pittinger of Mifflin, and Amy Pittinger of Mifflin; grandson, Ryan Ransen of California; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul B. Thomas Jr., Jack W. Kline, and Joseph F. Pittinger; sisters, Dorma Stumbaugh and Evelyn Butler; and brother, Clifford Stumbaugh.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, conducted by Bishop David Taloga. Family and friends are invited to visit for one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
