Following graduation from Loudonville High School in 1950, he entered the Air Force, and had a career in Flight Simulation Technology spanning twenty years retiring as a SMSgt in 1970,with his wife and mother of his children, Betty Joann Scott. Forty nine years of marriage. 1932-2000
The family then settled in Mansfield, OH after there service where Cliff began a second career as a Electronics Engineering Technician for fifteen years. Upon retiring, he started his own business, Mansfield Therapeutic Associates with his Second Wife, Carol Peace, of Mansfield, OH and began a third career as a Massage Therapist. He enjoyed his final career in the Energy Healing Arts.
He is survived by his four children: Chris Stumbaugh of Columbus, OH; Frank (Roxana) Stumbaugh of Miami, FL; Thomas (Rebecca) Stumbaugh of Tallahassee, FL; and JoAnn (Edwin) Nelson of Tallahassee, FL; his sister, Jean Thomas of Mansfield, OH; Carol Peace of Mansfield, OH; Grandchildren: Jason and Jesse Stumbaugh,Jacob Nelson.Great-Grandchildren: Caden,Kinsley and Taylor Stumbaugh and several nieces and nephews. He also was step grandfather to his son Tom's and daughter-in-law Rebecca's children. He is also loved by Justin, Frank's stepson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorma Stumbaugh;wife, Betty, sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Jack Butler; and brother-in-law, Paul Thomas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 2553 Lexington Ave., Mansfield, OH, 44904. Pastor Russell Simpson of Lakeland Grace Brethren Church in Warsaw, IN will officiate. Remembrances are welcome and Military Honors performed by American Legion Irvin Hiskey Post #535 of Bellville will be held at the funeral home following the service.
