Mr. Brister died Jan 22, at his residence. He was born April 24, 1932 in Pitkin, La to the late Harrison Brister and Gussie Fuller. Mr. Brister was a resident of Rusk for 20 plus years and also lived in Arlington for 20 years. Mr. Brister worked for the Anderson County Jail as a Jailer for five years retiring in 1993. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include son, Dennis W. Brister of Houston, daughter, Donna L. Owens of Anna, TX, daughter, Vickie Charrier of Sanger, TX, son, Keith Brister of Rusk, sister, Alma L. Wolfe of Jacinto City, TX.There will be no visitation.
