The son of Reese Thomas Watkins, Jr. and Fermenia Leota (Minnie) Swope.

The happy young newlyweds shown above are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Wilson Watkins, who were married in the Methodist Church in Cumberland by Rev. Mr. Baughman on Wednesday, September 2, 1942. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reese Watkins of Wood, while the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Denver Foor of Bedford, Rt. 3.
The bride's gown was of pastel blue taffeta with a veil of rayon net to match, and she carried a bouquet of roses and fern tied with a pink satin ribbon. Following the ceremony, a delicious supper was served at the bride's home, where a large number of relatives and friends were present.
The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon to Pittsburgh and Ohio, following which they returned to Bedford, where they expect to make their home with the bride's parents.
Mr. Watkins is employed at the Naval Training School at Bedford Springs.

He married Marybelle Foor. After his death, Marybelle Foor Watkins married William Howard Dawson in Winchester, Virginia. William was 20 years younger than Marybelle.
