A WELL KNOWN BOHEMIAN
LADY PASSES AWAY
--------------------------------------------
Mrs. John Blin, 81 Years Old, Was
Pioneer Settler of This Vicinity.
--------------------------------------------
Barbra Urbin was born in Bohemia, October 5, 1852, and passed away at the family home near Cainsville, Mo., Nov. 10, 1933, age 81 years, 1 month and 6 days. In the year of 1871 she was married to John Blin, who survives her. To this union six children were born. Frank who preceded her in death Aug. 23, 1913. She leaves to mourn, her beloved husband, and five children, three sons and two daughters. Joseph of Marion, Iowa, Anna of California, Mary of the home, Will of Ridgewayand Charley of Cainsville, thirteen grand children and two great grand children.

Early in life she was converted and baptised to the Catholic church of which she remained faithful until death. Mr. and Mrs. Blin came to America , May 19, 1877, settling first in St. Joseph, Mo., living there 5 years, then moving to Harrison County, Mo., near Cainsville where she spent the remainder of her life.

During her last illness she suffered very much but patiently and without complaint she was ready to go and be relieved of her suffering and remarked that a House not Made by Hands, awaited her tired and weary Spirit. All that loving hands could do was done to relieve her of suffering, but of no avail. Her frail body could endure the pain no longer and she drifted away.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov.11 at the home by Rev. Noel Adams of Ridgeway, under the direction of J.E. Johnson, mortician. "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," "Going Down the Valley." and "In The Sweet Bye and Bye," were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Glaze and Mr. and Mrs. J.E Johnson. Burial was in the Bohemian Cemetery near Cainsville.

Those attending the funeral from a distance were Mr, and Mrs, Joseph Blin and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Blin of Marion, Iowa, making the children all present except Anna of California.

Mother dear, we will think of you so often,
When the sky is blue or grey,
But we know that you are happy,
In your new home far away.
We will miss you darling mother,
From your earthly home you left,
But we know our Heavenly Father,
Knoweth all things best.

(Bethany Republican-Clipper, Wednesday, Unknown Date.)

NOTE: Barbra was born in Bohemia, Empire of Austria (now Czech Republic). Cause of death was cancer of the stomach.
