Lloyd “Bill” Arnold, 79, of Newport departed this life Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was born June 4, 1936 to John Robert and Ollie (Blevins) Arnold. He was a member of Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, gardening and old Arkansas History.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Marcus Arnold, and one sister; Mary Mooney.
His survivors are his wife of 54 years; Mary Arnold, three daughters; Tammy Bennett and husband Sammy of Newport, Helen Smart and husband George of Newark, and Lisa Barnes and husband Paul of Trumann, three sisters; Helen Stoner of Tuckerman, Vonda White of Newport, and Betty Ritter of Newport, five grandchildren; Sarah Baker of Newark, Brandy Bennett of Jonesboro, Justin Smart of Newark, Macy Barnes of Trumann, and Joey Smart of Newark, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in Cheshier Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:30-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015.
