Irma LaGasse, 96, of Whiting, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at home. Irma was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Maplewood before moving to Whiting six years ago. Predeceased by her husband, Rudolph, in 1980 and her two sons, Russell and Richard LaGasse, she is survived by three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.
