Benjamin Brink was the son of Joshua Brink and Rebecca Cole.

The family moved to Ohio sometime before 1870 and the children were scattered, living with relatives or friends.

In 1870 great grandpa, Benjamin lived in an apartment in Mansfield Ohio. His occupation was carpenter. He returned to Pennsylvania, became ill and died there in 1871.

In 1870, six year old Theodore and 19 yr. old brother Martin lived with the Robert Lipsett family. Theodore was attending school and Martin worked on the farm.
In 1880 Theodore was a farm hand, living with Robert Lipsett family.
By 1885,Theodore was in Lee Co., IL.
