Dixon Evening Telegraph, Friday, 27 Aug 1943, page 4 -- Obituaries - Local - Theodore Brink who passed away Tuesday, was the youngest son of Caroline Culver and Benjamin Brink and was born in the State of Pennsylvania Oct. 11, 1863. At the age of 6 he moved to Plymouth, Ohio where he grew to manhood. He came to Illinois on Sept. 3, 1885 at the age of 21 and followed the vocation of farming for a number of years. He was united in marriage to Jessie Mae Heaton on Feb 20, 1890, and to this union were born two sons and two daughters, Robert and Winfield, Mrs. Margaret Crist and Mrs. Esther Bowers, all of Dixon. His wife preceded him in death Jan. 2, 1927. Mr. Brink leaves to mourn his death besides his children, a number of nieces and nephews residing in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The funeral was held Thursday at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church, the Rev. Lloyd W. Walter officiating and interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

In 1870 6 year old Theodore and 19 yr. old Martin Brink lived with the Robert Lipsett family.  Theo in school, Martin works on the farm.
1880  Theo is a farm hand living with the Robert Lipsett family. 

1885 Theodore to Lee Co., IL., from Ohio
Married Feb. 20, 1890  to Jessie Mae Heaton in Nachusa Twp., Lee Co., IL.

In Sept. 1900 Theo Brink left for an extended visit to Ohio.

1904 Theo went to Grand Junction, Colorado and bought property. It was sold after he died.

by 1910 back in Lee Co., living on the farm his father-in-law owned which was passed to Theo and Jessie.

1920 still on the farm.

1925 sold farm and moved to Dixon.
Newspaper article about flood was in May 1927 while living in North Dixon about a block from the Rock River.

Cause of death pneumonia.
