Elizabeth Germaine Ross, 95, of Albany, GA, died July 3, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Finbar Stanton will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Bellville, IL. she was born to Edward and Cathernine Germiane March 29, 1920. Elizabeth met her late husband, John H. Ross in Booneville MO and they moved to Moultrie, GA in 1945. In 1946, they moved to Albany, GA where they raised their family.
After retirement, Elizabeth moved to Lake Eufaula with her husband and enjoyed 20 years at the lake before returning to Albany, GA in 2005.
Survivors include her two daughters, Phyllis Ross Speir and her husband, James of Leesburg, GA and Betsy Ross Cox and her husband, Steve of Dawson, GA, 7 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Ross, her son, John C. Ross and her daughter-in-law, Maggie Dixon Ross and son-in-law, Toe Reaves.
The family will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home Tuesday evening, July 7, 2015 from 6 until 7:30 and Wednesday before the funeral Mass in the Gathering Room at St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
