1. Witnesses to the marriage were Edward Deerberg and Sophia Schaekel.
2. 7731 East Edgewood Avenue - Anton and Amelia Schaekel Deerberg were married in 1913 and Amelia has lived here since then.

MR AND MRS ANDY DEERBERG - Mr and Mrs Andy Deerberg, 7715 East Stop 8 Road, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM next Sunday at the Heritage Restaurant, 3325 Madison Avenue. Friends of the couple and family are invited. It is requested no gifts be given. Mr and Mrs Deerberg are members of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church (United Church of Christ), 8900 East Troy Avenue, where they were married March 16, 1913, by the Rev A B Gaebe. The Rev Mr Gaebe will join the anniversary celebration. The Deerbergs are semi - retired on their farm, previously owned by his parents, where they have lived during their 50 years of marriage. They have three daughters, Mrs Dora Allen, Mrs Melvin Hilton, and Mrs Jeff Nicoson, all of Indianapolis; two sons, Elmer Deerberg and Woodrow Deerberg, both of Indianapolis, 18 grandchildren and two great - grandchildren.
4. ANDY DEERBERG - Andy Deerberg, 89, Edgewood Avenue, passed away February 14 with burial in Acton Cemetery. Survivors include the wife, Amelia; sons, Elmer and Woodrow; and daughters, Mrs Dora Allen, Mrs Gertrude Hilton and Mrs Laura Nicoson. Also 18 grandchildren and 13 great - grandchildren.
