James (Jimmy) Mullen died early Sunday morning after a lingering illness in the Wickenburg Hospital.
He was born in Buffalo, New York on January 8, 1893, the son of Lina and John Mullen.
He is survived by his wife Viva of Aguila; a daughter Betty Henderson of Baltimore, Md.; a son Tom Brown of Cedar Glen, California; a granddaughter Victoria Guarasci of Torrance, California, and a nephew, Charles Mullen of Vallejo, California.
Mullen owned and operated one of the largest bicycle repair shops in California. He retired in 1965 after some 20 year in the business and moved to Aguila in 1971.
Memorial services were held at the Aguila Community Church at2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, and burial was in the Aguila Cemetery.
