Little Walter “LB” Bowens died quietly On Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in Frisco, Texas at the age Of 59.

L. Walter Bowens Was Born To Joshua and Ida Mae Bowens on May 30, 1956.

He married Marlene R. Bowens, his High School Sweetheart, on October 6, 1975. Throughout the years, they built a wonderful family together, which includes three children: Tiffany Cole, Joshua Bowens, And L.Walter Bowens II. From those three children, Seven beautiful children were born: Aryianna, Nalani, Aniya, Quincy, Joshua, Anthony, And Mariah.

Surviving Siblings: Johnnie Lee, Ida Mae, Hazel, Zenophon, Frances, Ron, Roy, Troy, JoAnne, And Al.

Preceding Him In Death: Esther, Thelma, Ladell, P’Ida, And Joshua Jr.

He Was Involved In The Potter’s House Church Ministries As A Deacon Of Leadership As Well As Other Church Affiliated Organizations. LB had A Passion For Cooking, Fishing, And Hunting. All These Amazing Skills Will Be Dearly Missed.

He leaves in God's care: his devoted and loving wife, Marliene Renee Bowens; his children, Tiffany and Richard Cole, Dallas, Texas, Joshua and Deniece Bowens, Little Elm, Texas, and L. Walter Bowens II, Frisco, Texas; his grandchildren, Aryiana Bowens, Aniya Bowens, Joshua Bowens, Mariah Bowens, Nalani Cole, Quincy Cole, and Anthony Bowens; his siblings, Ida Mae Rutledge, Hazel Carlis, JoAnn Parmee, Ron Bowens, Roy Bowens, Troy Bowens, Al Bowens, Tyrone Bowens and Francis Bowens; along with other relatives and friends.

The Sacred Farewell will be shared on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rayfield Baptist Church. Reverend Leroy Walker, Sr., Pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Warrior Cemetery, west of Checotah, Oklahoma.

You may visit Mr. Bowens on Thursday beginning at 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the Church.
