Mrs. Anna Bell Patterson was born February 22, 1909, in Walton County, Florida, and died March 21, 2003, in Panama City, Florida.
Mrs. Patterson lived a full life. She finished normal school and taught school before she married Curtis Straughn, with whom she had six children, the eldest dying before he was a year old.
Mrs. Patterson worked hard on the farm, was a wonderful cook, cared for her children and family, and was very creative in times of need. She always cared for and helped in need, loved to sew, quilt, read, crochet, garden, grow flowers, and travel.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by five children, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sister-in-law, one step daughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral: March 23, 2003, at Clary-Godwin-Comander Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with Reverend Kenneth Straughn officiating.
Burial: in the Cluster Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Curt Boland, Courtney Marshall, Timothy Allen, Rickey Campbell, Chris Klinck, and Butch Simmons.
Clary-Godwin-Comander Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
