-Popular Teacher Dies Luretta Douthitt, of Carlisle Schools, Succumbs to Pneumonia
Luretta Douthitt, a sister of Wm. T. Douthitt and Frank M. Douthitt, died Wednesday night at the home of Mrs. J.F. Miller, in Carlisle, after an illness of several weeks with pneumonia. For several days her condition has been quite serious and her death was expected. She was a popular teacher in the Carlisle public schools and by her happy, genial nature won many friends in the three years she has taught there. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Douthitt, of Jefferson township, a sister of Elza and Elliott Douthitt. She was a graduate of the Indiana State Normal. She was greatly beloved in the circle in which she was best known.
The funeral will occur at Indian Prairie Friday afternoon at 10 o'clock.
