Katherine (sic) Ann O'Keefe, daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Mead Barnett, was born at McGregor, Ia., on June 28, 1880 and passed away November 30, 1938.

Mrs. O'Keefe received her education in the rural schools of Clayton county and the McGregor school.

On February 7, 1905, she was united in marriage to John P. O'Keefe at Ruthven, la. They established their home in Sanborn and have resided there continuously. To them were born four daughters, Winifred, Margaret Loretta (Mrs. Earl Brahan), and Delores (Mrs. Ralph Shull), who with their father, are left to mourn. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Marjorie Marie and Earleen Brahan and Katherine Ann Shull; three brothers, James and William Barnett of McGregor, la., and Dan Barnett of Ruthven, Iowa.; and four sisters, Mrs. T. F. O'Hara of Goodwin, S. D., Mrs. T. J. O'Hara of Sioux Falls,. S. D., Mae Barnett of McGregor, la., and Ann Barnett of New Hampton, Iowa.

Mrs. O'Keefe has been in poor health for the past several years, having been afflicted with arthritis, but had not been in a serious. condition until the week preceding her death, when complications set in which resulted in her death. Her main interests were centered in her home and family where she will be greatly missed as a devoted, kind and loving wife and mother.

Funeral servicer, were held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in St. Cecilia's church, mass being said by Father Fitzpatrick. Burial was made in St. Cecilia's cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Joe Kluss, Fred Riley, J. W. McGuire, Wm. Buirge, C.G. Shubeit and Jack Bohan.
