She was the widow of Paul P. Krasucki Sr. who passed away on Dec. 31, 2010. The couple was married for 49 years.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late John and Carmela (Stasi) Minetola.
Mary graduated from GAR Memorial High School in 1949 and was employed by the Social Security Administration.
She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Eulalia Church, Roaring Brook Township and previous member of Holy Rosary, Wilkes-Barre, and its Sacred Heart Rosary Society.
Mary enjoyed making people laugh and always had a joke at the ready.
Many family and friends were the recipients of dolls, afghans and Christmas stockings from her lifelong hobby of knitting and crocheting. Aunt Mary's meatballs were a Minetola reunion staple and if you couldn't personally enjoy her pepper cookies, she would ship them to you.
Mary is survived by her sons, Paul Jr. of Springfield, Illinois, and Patrick and his fiancé, Helen Wheeler of Sugar Notch; her daughter, Carmela and husband, Tom Smith, of Roaring Brook Township; her brother, Albert of Allentown; her grandchildren, Patrick, Kara and Shelby Krasucki, Andrew, Eric and Brian Smith; her great-grandchildren, Dylan and Evan Krasucki; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was everyone's favorite aunt and, sadly, will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Patrick, John, Martin, Peter and Victor.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eulalia Church, 214 Blue Shutters Road, Roaring Brook Township, to be celebrated by Monsignor John W. Jordan. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township. Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
