Mary (Strauss)Wetzel.He was born in Berks, Hereford, Pennsylvania and she from Delaware.

Allen's father was born in Augusta County, Virginia and his mother Joanna in Culpeper, Virginia,
Her Grandfather was Hans Jacob Holtzclaw who helped establish the first Germanna Colonies in Virginia in 1714.

In his and Lydia's union they were blessed with thirteen children.
