Mrs. Jane Ann (Arey) Blaser, 88, 29 E. Oak St., West Hazleton, died Thursday at the Sugarloaf residence of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Budgeon. She was born in Lattimer Mines, daughter of the late William and Martha (Williams) Arey, and spent most of her life in Hazleton. She had resided for approximately 20 years in Manville, N.J., where she had been employed in the cafeteria of the research center of the Johns-Manville Corporation. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Hazleton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick D. Blaser, in 1969; a son, Paul W.; two grandsons, Thomas Jr. and Samuel; three brothers, Thomas Arey, Samuel Arey and Ellsworth Arey; and two sisters, Martha Markle and Vesta Wear. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Budgeon, Sugarloaf; and Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Striker, West Hempstead, N.Y.; two sons, Thomas, West Hazleton; and Calvin George, Nacogdoches, Texas; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. William S. (Margaret) Eiferd, Englewood, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, 426 W. Broad St., Hazleton, with the Rev. Jusuf Salam, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
