SENECA, MO – Erma Lee Bookout, longtime resident of Seneca, died at Joplin Healthcare Center, Tuesday, June 24, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 13, 1937 at Reeds Spring, MO to Ossie and Effie (Pendergrass) Morris. She attended the United Pentecostal God Church in Seneca.
She is survived by three sons; Leslie Goswick and wife Pam of Pontiac, IL, John Stansill and wife Beth of Joplin and Vance Stansill of Miami, three daughters, Dee Watkins and husband Marty of Joplin, Tammy Wilkins and husband Jerry of Galena and Kristi Gilstrap of the home, a brother Donald Morris of Racine, MO nineteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her parents, a son Mark Stansill, two brothers, Darrell and Dallas Morris and a sister Louise Alsap preceded her.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2008 at Seneca, MO with Rev. Randy DePriest officiating. A visitation was Thursday 6-8 p.n. at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
