CALDWELL — Graveside services for Clarke Q. Brown, 68, of 1608 Everett, who died Wednesday at his home, will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Canyon Hill Cemetery by Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 39, AF&AM.
He was born Sept. 28, 1906, at Caldwell, where he grew up and attended schools. He attended the University of California at Berkeley. He married Geraldine M. Ellison on Oct. 4, 1941, at Caldwell. He served In the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, and had worked as a director of research at the Crookham Seed Co. for 32 years. He retired in 1972.
He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lodge, the El Korah Temple in Boise, Scottish Valley Rite of Boise, a past member of the Caldwell Rotary Club, BPOE Lodge No. 1448 and the Knife and Fork Club of Boise. He was listed by Who's Who for contributions to seed research, and was a member of the affiliated Who's Who group of Idaho.
Survivors are his wife of Caldwell; a son, Clarke E. of Boise; two daughters, Susan Young, Meridian. and Molly Brown, Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Golda Allison, Caldwell, and Mrs. Hester Haman, Caldwell; and a grandson, Ronald Young, Meridian.
