To the memory of those whose names are inscribed this tablet
is erected a frail record of mortality.

Near this is laid
to await the morning of the resurrection the body of
CATHERINE JANE TRAIL,
only daughter of the Rev. ANTHONY TRAIL, D.D., and AGNES GAYER, his wife.
She died in Lisburn on the 23rd March 1823, in the 29th
year of her age in the peaceful assurance of a blessed in mortality her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, her God and Saviour.

Here rest the mortal remains of the
Rev. ANTHONY TRAIL, D.D.,
Archdeacon of Connor and son of the Rev. ROBERT TRAIL of Panbride and nephew of JAMES TRAIL formerly
Bishop of this Diocese. He was born AD 1755 and departed this life in Lisburn, November 16th 1831,
aged 76 years.

second daughter of WILLIAM TRAIL and LOUISA F. ANTOINETTE, his wife.
She died at Ballylough, March 8th AD 1833, in the 3rd year of her age.
Sweet babe by sin destroyed by grace restored
clothed in white robes rejoice in Christ thy Lord
amidst the glorious company above
like the subject of redeeming love.

Here also lie entombed the mortal remains of
LOUISA FRANCIS ANTOINETTE,
wife of WILLIAM TRAIL of Ballylough
and daughter of the Rev. THOMAS LLOYD of Castle Lloyd and ELIZABETH FITZGERALD of Glin,
County of Limerick.
She died in Lisburn, February 21st 1834,
aged 37 years.
Being early in life taught by divine grace to feel the power of redeeming love she trusted in Jesus as
the Lord her righteousness and her life and conversation bore
testimony to the heavenly principle thus
she walked by faith she lived in hope and died in peace much esteemed by the rich
beloved by the poor and deeply lamented by all.

WILLIAM WATTS GAYER, Esq., L.L.D.
She died on the 30th November 1838, aged 78 years.
