Ruth E. Wimer, 93, formerly of Muddy Creek Township, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, at United Community Hospital, Grove City. She made her home at . . . a personal care home in Slippery Rock since February. Born in Grove City, Dec. 25, 1903, she was the daughter of Samuel and Rose Elizabeth (Kaufmann) Cornelius. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wolf Creek Presbyterian Church in Worth Township. Surviving are two sons, Robert Wimer of Ravenna, Ohio, and Harold "Pete" Wimer of Portersville; two daughters, Dorothy Pederson of Ellwood City and Mrs. Earle (Gladys) Caven of Ormond Beach, Fla; three brothers, Paul Cornelius of Mercer, Samuel Cornelius of Ormond Beach, and James Cornelius of New Brighton; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Clair J. Wimer, whom she married Oct. 17, 1928, died June 9, 1988. A son, grandson, two brothers, and a sister also preceded her in death.
