Mrs. Dicy Avery, 77, of West Frankfort, whose home was at 816 W. Lmdell St., died at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Union Hospital, West Frankfort, following a short illness. She had lived at the Clay Nursing Home in West Frankfort for the past two years. She was born Dec. 31, 1893 in Averett, Mo., daughter of Robert and Emma Boatman Acord.She was a member of the First Christian Church, West Frankfort. Her husband, Clarence, preceded her in death.

Survivors include brothers, Theodore Acord of Cape Girardeau, M0., Clayton Acord of Bakersfield. Calif, and Jim Acord of Batton, Wi., a sister,Mrs Tricey Bewik of Bakersfield, half-brothers Oscar Acord of Estherville Iowa; Howard Acord of Alton and Burgess Acord of Winona,Mo., and a half-sister Louise Aslin of Bloomfield,Mo.

Funeral services at the Reedy Funeral Home, West Frankfort, with the Rev. Herbert Johnson Officiating. Burial in the Denning Cemetery of West Frank fort.
