SOPHIA WHEADRICK
GREENWAY, Aug 16, Sophia Beck wife of Charles Wheadrick, who has been ill for two weeks, died at 6 p.m. yesterday, aged 20 years. The 6th of June, she was married to Mr. Wheadrick and they were making plans to go to housekeeping at Verona Mills, where Mr. Wheadrick conducts a blacksmith shop. He had the sympathy of the entire community in his great affliction. Besides her husband, she leaves her father William Beck of this place, and two brothers, William Beck Jr., for whom she had been keeping house , and Charles Beck,, who is employed at the state custodial asylum, also one sister Mrs. Charles Barber Jr. of Rome. Mrs. Wheadrick was a very cheerful woman She came here with her parents when only a child five or six years old, had grown up with the young people here and had been associated with the Sunday school, endearing herself to all. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Churchville. Her mother died about four years ago. He family are greatly afflicted and have the sympathy of all. The funeral will be held on Sunday at 1:30 from the house and 2 p.m,. at the church at Churchville.
