WILLIAM BECK
At the home of his son, Charles at Spencer Settlement on Sunday morning, occurred the death of William Beck, aged 74. He died suddenly during the early morning hours and was discovered dead by his son about 6:30 o'clock. He had been ill with asthma and heart trouble since early last winter. The son saw his father about midnight and he appeared to be as well as usual but when he went to call him for breakfast, he discovered that he was dead. Coroner Teller was called and pronounced death due to natural causes.
Mr. Beck was born in Germany and served his time in the German army. After leaving the army he married and about 46 years ago he came to the Untied States. He located in Greenway and engaged in farming. His wife died about 20 years ago and then he went to Spencer Settlement to reside. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Churchville. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Barber of LeRoy and two sons, Charles, with whom he resided and William Beck, who resides in the west.
