Mr. Altman was born April 13, 1947, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Earl L. Altman and Hulah Douglas Altman. He was a graduate of Hemingway High School and attended Florence-Darlington Technical College. Mr. Altman was employed with Rock Tenn, Florence, as an E & I Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church where he currently served as Sunday School teacher, Deacon, Church Clerk and Church Musician. Mr. Altman served in the United States Marine Corps where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He loved and enjoyed life, his family, his church and his Lord.
Mr. Altman was preceded in death by three sisters, Bonnie Dell Altman, Edna Earl Turner and Glendra Sledge; and one brother, Bryant Ulmer Altman.
