Gladys Irene Lynch

Mass of Christian Burial for Gladys Irene Lynch will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church. She died *Friday in a Vancouver nursing home. She was 89.

Mrs. Lynch was born in Portland and lived in Vancouver the last 34 years. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of St. James Catholic Church of Vancouver, St. James Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America. She was a 50-year member of the American Red Cross.

She was instrumental in the effort to place the Mother Joseph statues at the Capitol in Washington, D. C., and at Vancouver City Hall.

Mrs. Lynch is survived by a son, William of Woodland; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Vancouver.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the St. James Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Vancouver, 98660.
