MINNEAPOLIS -- Services for Esther Odella Tack, 88, of Minneapolis will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation at the Eick Funeral Home in Marshall will begin at 5 p.m. today.
Mrs. Tack died Tuesday at the Minnesota Masonic Home in Minneapolis.
On March 23, 1899, she was born in Lisbon Township, near Clarkfield, to Ole and Anna (Eid) Holtan. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bergen Lutheran Church in rural Clarkfield. Earl Tack and she were married June 2, 1927. They moved to Marshall in September 1928. In June 1983, she became a resident of the Minnesota Masonic Home. She had been a member of First Lutheran Church since 1928. She was active in church circles and taught Sunday school.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Lloyd of Minneapolis and Duane of Kingston, Wash.; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sisters, Alma Olson and Mildred Anderson, both of Granite Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
