John Bowen, son of Micajah Bowen Jr and Rachel McCaslin born about 1808 Livingston Co., Ky. moved to Albemarle Co., Va. a few years, then with family on to Bond Co., Ill, Married Rebecca Cole in Madison Co., Ill Oct. 25,1827. By 1840 was in St. Clair Co., Ill in 1850 census and 1860. Rachel died about 1861. John then moved to Livingston Co., Missouri with children in the 1870 census and 1880 census and died there about 1882, may have lived with son William in Triplett, Chariton, Mo. and buried in the McCullough Cem.
Children William and Emily Oden lived next door. It seems John Bowen married a 2nd time to Elizabeth.

The John Bowen that died Sept. 2, 1887 and is buried in Worth, Mo. is not the same and is not the son of Micajah.
