ADA BEATRICE McBURNETT BRITTON

Bea Britton, 84, passed away at 9:30 p.m. November 19, 1971 of a heart attack in a Corpus Christi, Texas hospital. She had lived in Robstown, Texas for 50 years and had been a resident of the Carriage Square Convalescent Home for two years prior to her death.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Robstown and the Alpha Literary Society.

Bea was a native of Waco, Georgia. She was born July 23, 1887 to parents Jefferson McGee McBurnett and Sarah Ann Elizabeth King McBurnett both of Carroll County, Georgia. She had 12 brothers and sisters.

Bea McBurnett married Charles Lawrence Britton on October 30, 1904 and they had one son, Elbert Curtis Britton, on June 30, 1908.

Mrs. Britton was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charlie, and all 12 of her brothers and sisters. She was survived by her son and his wife, Curtis and Hattye Britton of Corpus Christi, and their son Mark Britton of Dallas.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 21, 1971 at the Robstown Funeral Chapel and interment was at Robstown Cemetery were her husband Charlie is at rest.
