Mrs. Albee, resident of the Tracy Nursing Home, died June 23 following an extended illness. She was 88 years of age.
Annabelle Killius Albee was born Dec. 25, 1880, in Illinois, one of seven children of John and Catherine Killius. In her early years, she moved with her parents to homestead in Nebraska. Then later, traveling in covered wagon, they came to settle in Minnesota.
Mrs. Albee attended several rural schools in Lyon county, and on May 4, 1910, she was united in marriage with John H. Albee at Marshall. To this union two sons and four daughters were born.
They homesteaded near Roundup, Montana, between 1914 and 1918, and then later farmed near Canby and Marshall before their retirement to Marshall where Mr. Albee died in January 1966.
The children who survive besides Mrs. Wendorff of Tracy are: Lloyd Albee, Alexandria; Oliver Albee, Amiret; Mrs. Lloyd Wendorff of Marshall, and Mrs. June McDaniel of Cottonwood.
