*THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 18 Aug 1988, 'Milard (Woodchopper) Adams, 65, 1503 Neathery, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Thursday, Aug. 11. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at Evergreen Cemetery with Bright-Holland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The Rev. J. W. Sims officiated. Mr. Adams was born April 9, 1923, in Woodstock, Ala., a son of Miladge and Minnie Trapp Adams. He married Lula Mae Robinson on April 12, 1971, in Hugo, Okla. He was a longtime member of the American Legion and was a veteran of World War II. He had lived in the Paris area for 17 years. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Linda Greger of Granbury; three grandchildren, David Lawrence Swanson of Paris, Jennie Lou Glover of Paris and Lori Reed of Paris; one sister, Bonnie Bell Muller of Dallas; two brothers, Cecil Adams of Truth or Consequences, NM and Barney Adams of Oklahoma City, Okla. and two great grandchildren'.
