Florine Mather Akridge, 88, of Hodgenville, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was a homemaker and a member of Nolynn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Akridge, in 1985; her parents, Millard and Sophia Price Mather; and a brother, Edward Mather. Survivors include a daughter, Diane Lawless of Sonora; a son, the Rev. Mike Akridge of Greensburg; a sister, Virginia Gardner of Hodgenville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Mike Akridge and the Rev. Craig Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
