Huntingdon - Harriet Ann FEATHER, 83, of 616 Seventh St., Huntingdon, died at 3:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Oct. 16, 1913, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Robert Wesley and Ruth Matilda (Miller) Edelblute. Her husband, Herbert William Feather, Sr., died Aug 23, 1991. Surviving are children, Mary Ruth Feather, 616 Seventh St., Huntingdon, Mrs. Rev. Kenneth (Betty F.) Longfield, Reedsville, Mrs. John (Shirley J.) Franke, Huntingdon, Herbert W. Feather, Jr., McConnellstown; sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Sylvia) Mitchell, Cornpropst Mills, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Myers, Alexandria; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother who died in infancy, and a grandson, Scott William Feather. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, taught Sunday School, was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class, the Women's Association, Lady Della Rebecca Lodge, the Huntingdon Mother's Club, the Avon President's Club, Frank P. Hommon Post No. 24 American Legion Auxiliary and the No. 1 Fire Co. Auxiliary. Before her marriage, she was employed at the G.W. Shaffer Grocery Store and at J.C. Blair Co. She was also an Avon's representative for 38 years. She attended the Huntingdon public schools and graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1932. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the John B. Brown Funeral Home Inc., 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, with the Rev. Peter J. Naschke officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, 245 Standing Stone Ave., Huntingdon. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Janes Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 525 Mifflin St., Huntingdon, Pa. 16652 or to the Huntingdon County Meals on Wheels, c/o Treasurer, 1423 Moore St., Huntingdon, Pa. 16652.
