Mrs. Charles W. Blewett, 80 years a old, passed away at her home here last Friday, after an illness of many months. She has been a resident of this community for 56 years. She and her husband came here from Wisconsin in, 1886, and lived on a farm northwest of Kingsley until, 1908, when they retired and moved to town, residing here since that time.
Mrs. Blewett was born June 4th 1864, at Hazel Green, Wisconsin. She came to Cherokee county in 1885 and was married to Charles W. Blewett, December 18, 1886.
She united with the Methodist church in Kingsley 45 years ago and was an active member until her health no longer permit her to attend the services.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon with Rev. M. L. Metcalf, the pastor officiating. Burial was in the Kingsley cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, and one son, Charles L., of Kingsley three granddaughters and nine great grandchildren.
