EWING TOWNSHIP - Edith Beck, 100, of West Trenton died Thursday at the Compassionate Care Hospice, Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of the Trenton Normal School (now College of New Jersey) with a degree in teaching. She taught at the Trenton School System for many years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton. Edith was on the House Committee of Mercer Hospital and also People to People.
Daughter of the late Arthur and Dora Scott Lanning and wife of the late Charles Beck, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and James M. Kutnow of Italy; a sister, Mary Gordon of Ewing; three grandchildren, Amanda Gold, James Kutnow and Jennifer Kutnow; and two great-grandchildren.
Private family graveside services will be held Friday at the Ewing Church Cemetery.
