JUANITA B. “LITTLE BLOSSOM” WALTER, a resident of Green Forest, Arkansas, was born October 08, 1930 in Hugh, Arkansas, a daughter of A.R. and Avia (Massengale) Bailey. She departed this life Monday, May 18, 2015 in Eureka Springs, at the age of 84 years.
Juanita attended the Harvest Assembly of God Church and the Alpena Assembly of God Church. She worked as a H.U.D. Realtor for the U.S. Government and was past president of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
On May 06, 1987, Juanita was united in marriage with James “Jim” Walter who survives her of the home. She is also survived by three sons, Chris Walter and wife Tanya of Alpena, AR, Rusty Walter and wife Richelle of Malvern, IA, and John Walter and wife Anne of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter, Vicki and husband Bob Schnepp of Gainesville, TX; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Bailey of Alpena, AR; one sister-in-law, Margie Bailey of Alpena, AR; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, A.R. and Avia Bailey; first husband, Carl Ross; two brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel with Brother Bill Anderson officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Alpena Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, 18112 Highway 412, Alpena, AR 72611.
