ADDITIONAL details of the Kelly Gang's, exploits, of great interest to historians, may be lost for ever now that Jim Kelly, Ned's only surviving brother, is losing his memory. Jim Kelly lives a few miles out of Glenrowan, the town in which Ned shot it out with the police and was captured. Jim is an old man now, nearing 90. He lives the life of a recluse at the farm of a nephew, and the Kelly family have for years shielded him from visitors, many of them historians seeking previously untold details of the days when the gang rode. This week a relative said: "Many lies have been written about Ned Kelly. It is no good going back into the past and asking the old man for his memories.

Deceased was a very old and respected resident of the district, where he had resided for many years. Interment took place at the Greta Cemetery where a Iarge number of friends paid their last respects. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs Todd and O'Brien, of Benalla.
