Mildred Mary Kirkwood Snyder, 94, of Brighton Care Center, Brighton, Colorado, died Saturday, August 11, 2001 following a brief illness.
Mildred was born in Provo, Utah on October 25, 1906 to Thomas and Sarah Jane Whitehead Kirkwood. She married Malcolm Delos Snyder on November 22, 1932, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1977.
Mrs. Snyder received her education in the Provo schools, graduating from Provo High School. She worked as a telephone operator for Mountain States Bell prior to her marriage. Her hobbies included crocheting, scrabble, bingo and collecting decorative plates from all 50 states. Mildred was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include six sons and one daughter: Richard of Hurricane, Utah; Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Baldwin of Lafayette, Colorado; Lloyd and David of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Kent of Kanab, Utah; Michael of Helendale, Calif.; and Dennis of Orange, Calif.; three sisters, Phyllis Cooper of Mesa, Arizona; Ann Grahel of El Cajon, Calif.; and Dorothy Beers of Provo, Utah; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
