A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was born in Plaquemine on May 31, 1921. A lifelong resident of Plaquemine, she passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010, at her home at the age of 88. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, on Wednesday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, at 1 p.m., concelebrated by the Rev. Jason Palermo, her cousin, and the Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Grace Memorial Park. She is survived by two daughters, Terry Ann Achee, and Jeanne Achee Panepinto and husband Stephen; two granddaughters, Hollye C. Travasos and husband Shane, and Beth C. Folse and husband Vonn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rodney and Dale Miller, Benny Joe and Michael Carringone, Shane Travasos and Roy Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Panepinto, Peter Palermo and Barrett Gomez. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward Achee; parents, Dominick and Annette "Nettie" Palermo Carringone; sisters, Daisy C. Miller and Sarah C. Clement; and brother, Benny Carringone. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and belonged to the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal for more than 50 years. Her family wishes to thank Comfort Care Hospice, especially Kelly, Robin and Liz. Also special caregiver, Sonja Pierre.
