Norman Edgar Sorenson, 76, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, May 16, 2015, at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.
He was born March 9, 1939, in Yates Center, the youngest of eight children of William and Jessie Blanche (Wilhite) Sorenson.
He grew up in Yates Center and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1957. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Wichita as a medic.
On May 14, 1982, Norman and Janice Horsch McCullough were married in Yates Center.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2015, at the Yates Center United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Yates Center Cemetery.
The family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Yates Center Senior Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
