Son of WM Kendall, mothers name unknown. Married Marilda Luther a distant cousin about 1845. Children: William (b 1845, d. 1845 in Clay Co. IN). Michael, Jacob Luther, John (b 1850 in Clay Co., IN, may have died in infancy as next child was also named John),John b in Wapello Co., IA, Mary Ann Cassill Pickrell Decker, Elizabeth A. Orman, Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson,& Maria Mae Baum Kendall.

Jacob Kendall, Aged 81 years, Passes Away on South Side.
One of the Early settlers of Wapello county, passed away at his home, 305 South Willard Street, this morning, at 10:30 o'clock. The remains were taken this afternoon to his old home residence near Ormanville, where they will lie till Wednesday at 1 o'clock when they will be taken to the Ormanville Cemetery and interred. By special request of the deceased man there will be no funeral services.
