Theris "Slash" Cornia, 94, died February 2, 1996 in the Evanston Regional Hospital.

He was born on March 5, 1901 in Woodruff, Utah to John M. and Mary H. (Dean) Cornia. He married Mary Alice South on December 20, 1924 in Logan, Utah. She preceded him in death on April 22, 1988. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a longtime president of Woodruff Livestock Association. Also was on the Woodruff Irrigating Co. Board and Woodruff Rodeo Committee.Survived by sons: Keith Cornia, Woodruff, Utah; Lloyd and LaRee Cornia, Randolph, Utah; Floyd and Norma Cornia, Randolph, Utah; daughter: Merlyn (Laddie) Paul, Murray, Utah; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Woodruff Ward Chapel. Friends may call the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening and one hour prior to services at the Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Woodruff Cemetery. Crandall Funeral Home of Evanston is in charge of arrangements.
