DOROTHY EVELYN BOYLES was born on July 14, 1920 in Kittitas, Washington, the daughter of the late Jesse and Truma (Jimerson) Mudd. She was raised and received her education in the Kittitas community, having been a graduate with the High School Class of 1938.

She was united in marriage to Fred Milton Boyles on December 13, 1941 in Port Townsend, Washington. Following their marriage they made their home in various cities across the country while her husband served in the United States Army. After his retirement from the military they resided in the Portland community.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred on May 8, 1977 after celebrating over thirty-five years of marriage together. Dorothy moved to the Forest Grove community in 1989, where she has resided since.

She was a homemaker.

Among her special interests, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and especially family activities.

Dorothy is also preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Truma Mudd; her son, Russell "Scott" Boyles; her brother, Jesse Mudd and her two sisters, Kathryn Mudd and Helen Bird.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Freda; her daughter-in-law, Vicki; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jeannette and her two sisters, Peggy and Bonnie.

Also surviving are her five grandchildren and their spouses, DeeAnna and Dave; Ryan; Laurie and Jeff; Kim and Andrew and William "Billy"; her four great grandchildren, Abbi; Emma; Bella and Elias and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to Care Partners Hospice, 1600 NW Compton Drive, Suite 210, Beaverton, Oregon 97006, in her memory.
