Campbell, Helen Born Helen Gary on March 17, 1920, Dallas, Texas. Deceased December 12, 2009 in McKinney, Texas. Helen was born in the front bedroom of her family home in Oak Cliff, 603 S. Montreal, Dallas, Texas. She was the youngest of four children born to Ila and Spear Gary. Helen graduated from Sunset High School. The Gary family was active in the First Baptist Church of Oak Cliff. She made a profession of faith at an early age. It was at the church youth activities that Helen met Earl Campbell. Earl and Helen were Married over 61 years before his death in 2002. Helen and Earl moved into the Duncanville Community in October of 1949. She was a member of Duncanville First Baptist for 60 years. She was an active member of the Charlton Hospital Auxiliary for 17 years. Helen is survived by three daughters; Diane West & husband Jerry West of Waxahachie. Peggy Durrwachter & husband Henry Durrwachter of McKinney,Texas & Kathy Campbell of Dallas, Texas. Four grandchildren; Debbie West of Arlington; Doug Durrwachter & wife Shelly of Keller, Texas; Johnny West & wife Angie of Providence Village, Texas; Sheri Salvador & husband Pat Salvador of McKinney, Texas.& five great-grandchildren; Julie Ann Durrwachter, Joshua Durrwachter; Alex Salvador, Reid Campbell Salvador & Caroline West. Survived by brother Loyce Gary of Irving, Texas, Nieces, Nephews. And many long time friends. Visitation 5:00-7:00 Wednesday, David Clayton & Sons Funeral Home. Services, 10:00 A.M. Thursday at David Clayton & Sons Chapel. Interment to follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park.
