George W Waddle, one of the oldest residents of Lafayette, died this morning at 2:50 o'clock at his home, 1320 Cincinnati Street, from a complication of diseases. He had been in poor health for more than a year, but had only been bedfast for three weeks. Mr Waddle was born in Ohio on May 2, 1842, and came to Lafayette when quite young. He was engaged in farming and also did teaming in the city. His wife died 19 months ago. A stepdaughter, Mrs Louis Allen, survives. The body was taken to the Evans-Templeton parlors to be prepared for burial and the interment will be in the Isley Cemetery, the time to be announced later.
